We, Pinoys love instant mami, but still there are days that we crave for the real “Mami.” Because with instant mami, the taste are somewhat the same, and you won’t be able to experience luscious noodles, savor real wontons, and those lean slices of meat and of course my favorite, the slightly bitter pechay!
I have been to Binondo, and different restaurants to decide on which Mami is the best in Town. Guess what? It’s Crystal Jade La Mian Xiao Long Bao’s Mami! The taste is unforgettable though it costs around 300 pesos. It has this salty and spicy broth and those long and luscious noodles (hand-pulled). I guess their secret is the peanut paste, that reacts with a slightly spicy broth. It also has dried shrimps, giving the mami a touch of saltiness and texture. Unbelievable!!!
