7-11 Asado Siopao : Best Siopao In Town

Siopao is yet another food of Chinese origin that has become our favorite snack here in the Philippines. It refers to steamed buns with meat filling. There are different variants available, from ASADO, to Bola-Bola, etc.

It’s hard to choose which offers the Best Siopao here in the Philippines. Some are saying that the best siopao is the ” Fried Siopao from Golden Fortune Victory Mall, while there are some who prefer those from North park, Ling Nam and Luk Yuen. How about Chow King, Wai Ying Tai Pao, Ma Mon Luk Siopao, Gloria Maris, Emerald Siopao or Goldilocks Siopao? I think the list is endless, and this post is not enough if i am going to mention all of them.

Ling Nam tastes good, four inches in diameter, with huge meatballs made from pure meat, mixed with a generous cut of chorizo. However, it cost 90 pesos. Dragon Noodle Center’s Siopao is also note-worthy. You’ll get 2 regular sized siopao for only 55 pesos. What’s more is you can eat them even without the sauce. One thing though, i don’t like their dough, too fluffy.

For me, the best siopao in town is from 7-11, their Siopao Asado. Simply because it’s made for Filipinos and it’s the siopao for everybody. It really tastes good, with no extenders and the sauce is real good. Unlike those from Kowloon House (puro extenders, i don’t like the smell too). 2nd placer goes to the Masuki’s siopao, (Benavidez Street, Binondo, Manila). Their Asado with salted egg, is great too. And my 3rd best siopao in town is the one from Le Ching. Their special bola bola siopao is really one of the best maybe because it has chorizo de bilbao fillings & salted egg.
